Sonia Leon, Candidate for Malta Co-President (Activities)

Do you want to help lead BLSA Malta, representing students and providing them with support and opportunities? Activities play a huge role in the student experience, whether that’s societies, sports clubs, or more. You’ll be responsible for ensuring students in Malta have the best extra-curricular opportunities available to them. You will gather feedback, work to achieve improvements, and work closely with the President of the BLSA and other reps and staff as necessary.

What's your favourite moment from being a student here?

One of my favourite moments from being a student at QMUL Malta includes all the lovely people I have met during this journey. As well as seeing myself and the people I am surrounded by grow and adjust to a new environment together.

What's something you've done that you're proud of?

I am proud that I have been able to balance studies, a part time job and social life. It has been overwhelming at times to keep on top of everything but having a balanced lifestyle has taught me lots of valuable lessons.

What is a problem facing students and how do you propose to fix it?

As the student body in Malta is growing, I aim to encourage the students to come together and feel involved with the community and the faculty. I indent to do so by promoting more inclusive events and applying student feedback. My goal is to expand on inclusivity!!
