The RAG Officer (BL) shall create a positive charitable influence on campus. They will select and chair a committee of people throughout the year whose purpose is to choose the RAG charity for their year and find innovative, exciting ways to fundraise for this charity. The officer will also work alongside the Student Engagement Coordinator (Student Media, RAG) staff member to support affiliated student groups in their fundraising and host challenges for individual students. This is a non-representative role and does not sit on Student Council.

What's your favourite moment from being a student here?

Receiving an award at Association Dinner last year for our hard work with Students for Global Health. I'd spent all year (and am continuing to!) try and improve our society, and make it be the best that it can be - and it was such an amazing feeling to have that be recognised.

What's something you've done that you're proud of?

Organising Fresher's Fortnight in 2019. I think it was proof of how much I can achieve when I work hard, and I'm so pleased to prove that I can provide a great experience on the first day that someone is a BL student.

What is a problem facing students and how do you propose to fix it?

I think the biggest issue that face students is a lack of regard by staff regarding welfare needs. With an ever growing cohort of students, the facilities, the teaching, and the physical and mental support systems are just not there.
