What would student life be without events and activities? The Entertainments Officers organise BLSA events, and liaise with other elected officers and staff to coordinate and promote events and activities to students.

The Entertainments Officers also convene and coordinate the Barts and The London Entertainments Committee. This is a non-representative position and does not sit on Student Council.

What's your favourite moment from being a student here?

My favourite moment was the fresher’s fortnight and the mummies and daddies activities. Despite the hard times we are going through and feeling disconnected, the online events made me feel welcomed and part of the Barts family.

What's something you've done that you're proud of?

One of my proudest moments was presenting my research on DNA artifacts at an international conference a few months ago and getting accepted on a Diplomacy training programme. Health Diplomacy is a field often overlooked but very important, as it could bring us closer to equal health opportunities in all communities and more effective research collaborations.

What is a problem facing students and how do you propose to fix it?

While Barts has many societies there tends to be a lack of cohesion and communication between these societies, as well as students who do not feel able to integrate. I wish to solve this problem by listening to students’ feedback and organising more diverse events (not solely focused on drinking) in collaboration with QMSU and Barts allied courses, where students can socialize and feel part of a community.
